SUNDAY FUNDAY - FIFTH EDITION

All locked in to ready, set, go for the editions of Sunday FunDay with NCSA! Last weekend, November 13, we held the fifth edition FunDay event at the Makerere Guest House.

SUNDAY FUNDAY - FIFTH EDITION

The FunDay was initiated by NCSA leaders as a get-together moment for the members before it grew into a weekend getaway plot filled with lots of activity! With the mostly youthful in attendance, there is a lot to engage and explore within the four hours of meeting!

In the previous editions, the event has been graced by notable names such as Brig. Gen. Felix Kulayigye who is the UPDF Spokesperson, NTV Uganda prime time news anchor, Mildred Pedun, commedian and MC, Uncle Mark, among others.

Last weekend, we enjoyed the girls' edition dubbed, #FunWithTheGirls, where girls' fun became the focus of the soft-sun afternoon. As for the boys, there's plenty of activity coming up just tailored for you.

Over the past weeks, we have seen the numbers of attendees grow from just 30 to over 150 and not about to stop even as the plans and plots get bigger, better and much more exciting!

At the FunDay, more than just having the young students and people from various institutions and places convening at one location; we are big on building social ties, creating healthy spaces to thrive, embracing talents and living a vibrant purposeful life that's not deprived of its fun aspects.

Among the activities at each FunDay will always be the social aspect of catch-up with peers and the picture perfect you for a photo shoot to capture the worthwhile memories.

Each moment is shared in real-time on the NCSA official social media pages because no moment is insignificant for memory. Oh, and besides, how could we possibly overlook the thoughtfulness of the NCSA team that unfailingly ensures that there are free refreshments like ice cream and soda at every event.

Still at the last meeting, there were plenty of games to play because it was such a pleasant day and don't you assume for a second that only girls attended because f the day's theme; men also joined in on the fun. We had better Kasparov's checking kings and taking queens. We had girls fall back into their childishness to play the games that made our childhood days memorable such as tug-of-war and football. It was all fun, games and one of the most astonishing things to catch sight of!

In the true spirit of beating passiveness, we ensure that everyone is involved and engaged and yet still enjoy their comfort. With volunteer trainers for aerobics and dance routines, there's always something new to learn.

In this most recent edition, there was also a session called "Catch up with the gals" after the games. Now, in this one, as they sat down, a Q&A session was held in which they would talk about their experiences volunteering with NCSA, the various projects that one can participate in if they want to join the team including projects like the police project that aims to teach young people Christian values
