POETRY: YOU SAY

Sounds playing in my mind

POETRY: YOU SAY

Illustrating that I am not enough
Whenever they arise I fight them
Every single fable that says I cannot measure up
Hypotheses like everything high and low
Amasses its toll on me

I think I am vacating the confrontation with them
Prompt me every time of what you think of me
Let that be the only aspect that matters
Your voice should be the only thing I believe
When I am down you assert that there's a lifting up

You say I am loved but I appear not to feel a thing
You say I am strong when I assume I am weak
You say I am not alone even when I seem not to embody it
You say I am held by you but I perceive I am plummeting
You say I am your resemblance when I can't find myself
You say I am worthy yet am filled with unworthiness
You say I am your purity yet I assume that I am reprimanded
You say your love encompassed it all
You say it's not over till you say so
You say you never make a promise you don't execute
You say your Grace has bandaged me

And I trust you
Am seizing all I have
Resting it at your own feet
Cause I believe
I believe what
You say

You are God
