EDUCATION IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS- WHAT A JOKE!!!

It's high time we asked God to make us aware of our purposes on this earth and we stopped living purposeless lives. I am not disqualifying education because one can be called in that field. However, we need to cut this habit of referring to education as the aptitude of people’s success. Let it be an added advantage but rather not the final wheel to determine one’s success.

EDUCATION IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS- WHAT A JOKE!!!

Parents, don’t misconstrue me because I am not asserting that education is unnecessary or not being appreciative of the endeavours that you try as much as possible to see your children fully educated. That’s all good and we are forever grateful for that while we continually ask God to bless you more. However, all I am saying is that there’s more to life than mere education. You have an important role to play right from childhood and I will use a biblical example of Rebekah the wife to Isaac who inquired of the Lord about the children who were in her womb only to be told that she carried two nations in her womb. Additionally, Proverbs 22:6 states, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”  In light of this, I am simply telling you that your child was created for a purpose and it is vital for you to inquire of the Lord on the purpose they were created for so that he/she grows up knowing his full purpose as told to you by God. All I am saying is that education should only be an added advantage to the child and not the determinant of a child’s success.

Proverbs 18:16 states, “A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.” Notice he didn’t say education and in Proverbs 17:8, a gift is fully described beautifully as, “a precious stone in the eyes of him that hath it: whithersoever it turneth, it prospereth” meaning that it’s when someone has fully understood their calling/gift that everywhere they go or touch, the gift prospers them and not only that, but through this gift/calling he/she will be brought before great men. For example, I can refer to Joseph the dreamer whose gift/ calling ended up making him master over Egypt. Also, look at David a young shepherd whose talent of music introduced him to the palace because every time he sang demons would flee from King Saul. I can also refer to Solomon whom the Bible refers to as the wisest man, every great person wanted to hear of the wisdom of Solomon. Great men and women would travel from afar to only come and witness the greatness of King Solomon.

Several times life has taught us so many things to the extent that as children, we grew up and followed the same things as our parents did, only because this is what has been the norm from the ancient times on how life should be run. Aren’t we tired of the same life cycle which has amounted to nothing but only led us to despair? Life has so much been about giving birth, raising children who are then expected to join school for about sixteen years then graduate and afterwards, start looking for employment. If you are lucky enough to get employed, well and good but if you don’t, life will only but be misery until death. Then you will eventually be expected to give birth too and the same cycle continues over and over again. What a useless way to live life! It's so purposeless and not worth being called life. At this point, I am reminded of the assertion that “education is the key to success” and the only thing left is but to laugh at this joke. Stay blessed.
