THE INVISIBLE PRESERVING ARM

Recently, during a fortnightly meeting of partners in his ministry on Saturday afternoon, May 27th, Prophet Elvis Mbonye delivered a prophecy about a drowning that would occur and immediately, he led a prayer for preservation to avert the danger.

THE INVISIBLE PRESERVING ARM

Less than a day later, news broke about a perilous situation faced by the water vessel MV-NODL on Lake Victoria after it sent out distress signals. The ferry, traveling from Bukakata, Masaka en route to Nakiwogo, Entebbe, experienced mechanical issues and began to lose stability in the rough tides of the lake as those onboard panicked for safety. Such incidents often pose a life-threatening moment for the passengers, especially those who are unable to swim. Had this situation been aggravated, it could have resulted in the deaths of over 10 people.

Fortunately, the rescue team arrived on time and led the vessel to dock safely at the shores. However, the success of the rescue operation can be attributed not to the efficiency of the emergency response unit but to the unseen influence that resonates with the earlier prayer of preservation. Although it may sound implausible, that remains the fact as similar events have occurred where prayers of preservation are made to avert danger, even for the deadliest scenarios.

For example, in January 2020, a prayer was made to avert potential dangers in the aftermath of the recent 2022 Kenyan elections. Historically, post-electoral violence has been common in Kenya, but this time, the turnout was unusually peaceful to the surprise of many. In the year 2017, NASA revealed that they had missed an asteroid that was on a trajectory for a head-on collision with Earth. However, months earlier, it is documented that Prophet Elvis Mbonye prophesied about this asteroid, stating that it would be missed but would cause massive destruction if it struck. He prayed about it, and to this day, no one can clearly explain how we narrowly survived the asteroid's trajectory towards Earth, not even NASA in whom the hopes of entire nations lie.

Another incident happened on January 2nd, 2018, where a prophecy was given about a plane landing on a busy street; described as dangerous, but the Prophet had prayed about it. Four months later, a story ran about a small aircraft that made an emergency landing on the congested 36th Street in Calvary, US. Despite this crash landing occurring on a highway and major railway tracks, miraculously, no one was injured save the wing that had minor damage after it hit the electric poles along the road.

Several other similar events intertwined with prayers of preservation include the storming of former UPDF commander Gen. Sejusa's home in Makindye shortly after the 2016 elections. The Prophet prayed against the escalation of the matter due to its sensitivity. Another notable event is the recent drone strike by Israel on the Iran Nuclear Bases, which could have sparked a possible world war. However, no dust was raised by this act of sabotage and war because the prophecy referred to it as very dangerous, yet constant prayer averted the dangers as he had done with previous potential disasters.

The core purpose of these revelations is to give us a glimpse of the authority and eternity of God as a supreme being over the affairs of men's lives. He refers to these prophecies as signs of what God is up to and they are to us proof of God's awareness of our future. The intent of revealing this future to us is that we may be better prepared but its revelation comes from His word that says He surely does nothing unless He reveals it to His servants the prophets. (Amos 3:7)

During an interview in Angola in 2019, Prophet Elvis Mbonye was asked about his anointing. He stated that he carried an anointing that "preserves, prospers, and enlarges," and time and again, the fulfillment of his countless prophecies vindicates these references. Today, while many critics hold a bias against him based on his lavish lifestyle rather than his prophecies, they tend to forget one crucial aspect of his ministry given off in that profession. If part of his calling is to manifest and display the prosperity that God gives, then he himself must embody this message, and looking at his life, he has not in any way disappointed and none of this is at the expense of his congregants' financial well-being as they exude the same traits and lifestyle.

In a less prejudiced setting, where the antagonism and popular rhetoric against preachers didn't exist, the prophet who is today's villain would be the hero we sing. Similarly, what the people on the MV-NODL, in Kenya, on that small plane, and in the world, including yourself, experienced—whether knowingly or unknowingly—was the preservation of this grace. If you are curious to inquire further, you too can partake in all the facets it has to offer. The secret lies in the sacred biblical truth of 2 Chronicles 20:20, which says, "Hear me, O Judah, and you inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall you be established; believe his prophets, so shall you prosper."
