Uganda, a tale of the prodigal son!

Anyone who has lived has had an opportunity to hear the story of the prodigal son. Assuming that you haven’t, these are the good times to live when you can hear of it but somewhat in a different perspective.

Uganda, a tale of the prodigal son!

It is not a once upon time story, it is a real life experience of actual events that happen in our day to day life. Then lived a rich man who had two lovely sons, the young one and most dear to him just woke up one morning and asked for his inheritance. It was a legitimate cause, it even must have been a clever game plan but because it wasn’t the wise choice, the execution could only lead to a dilemma.

Off to the world, he rejoiced with the new social class whose agenda was only to gain off his talent. It is difficult to fathom how he felt while the world cheered him on unless you land mysteriously on some bucks. You are all of a sudden handsome, cute, intelligent, and smart; you even know how to sing however rusty your voice sounds! Basically you can never say anything wrong.

I don’t know if our lad experienced the law of diminishing returns but soon he would know that those who celebrated him with hails and long live chanting were only concerned about his material possessions. He was once a prince in the bosom of his father but now life had him sneaking on swines for their left overs.

There is a son who stayed home, unfortunately he had a more prodigal attitude than the one who was swept away by deception falsely called logic, though he was a crown prince in waiting, he chose to be the servant in his father’s house. He had all to himself but couldn’t enjoy it because he had the consciousness of the servant’s lifestyle.

Remember how I said that then lived a rich man? Now I say that now lives a rich man, a father to nations who dearly loves his sons. Rich in kindness, material wealth, and above all spiritual pearls that overflow with molten chocolate like dripping prophecies!

To one son, immeasurable grace has he extended much so that when he obviously needs chastisement, the father has given double for the son’s iniquity! Yet he has chosen to remain prodigal and stiff necked! To the other has he called, “Kenya the Lord’s beloved.” In case you don’t know who the prodigal son is, I am talking about mother land, Uganda. Could Uganda be having an oversized prodigal attitude?

Just like the two sons, Uganda and Kenya have experienced similar scenarios, they are even exposed to the same deceptive misinformation but their choices have differed by a distance and both choices have social, spiritual, political and economic consequences.

At the start of this all pandemic situation, Kenya seemed to have strongly taken the way of the world and stout drastic measures so infamous to be dubbed “lockdowns” were taken, Kenya was prodigal! Uganda on the other hand didn’t seem prodigal at all but has surely exuded its prodigal attitude to surpass Kenya with supersonic speed.

What happened to Kenya, why all of a sudden a shift from darkness to light, I mean from restrictions to liberty? The leaders there must have had a quiet time to ponder about how life could have appreciated in the house of liberty, how the economy and social life would be prospering contrary to the experiences in the house of restrictions filled with sorrow. Just as the prodigal son thought to himself in the pig sty while sneaking on the snoozing swine’s potatoes, Kenya took a decision, a firm stand to return to the Father’s house and now they are seeing light, they are preserved and will surely prosper! I say congratulations Kenya. Uganda has a living example.

Do you think, Uganda needs all these restrictions? Are the restrictions taking us to the promised land of a fully independent nation striding to a second world level? What will it take Uganda to overcome?

I say that what needs to be done is a simple thing but with great potency to set us on the right course. You have seen and heard how the prophecies that Prophet Elvis Mbonye has given have come to pass precisely no matter what obstacles were in the way. You have heard the beautiful promises he has given this land if only we live the global agenda narrative and turn to what God says. Dear leaders, do the due diligence and listen. This land will see light, shackles will be broken; we will be preserved, enlarged and prosperity as never before will come our way!
