Run the race so that you may obtain the prize

In life, we all walk different journeys. Every journey has its beginning and end and therefore, it matters how you complete your race as a person.

Run the race so that you may obtain the prize

1 Corinthians 9:24 (KJV): Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. For example, with reference to the different games like football, netball, volleyball, etc. In all these games, regardless of the number of teams that participate, there will only be one winner.

In Philippians 3:14 (KJV): I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. It really matters how you run your race and what kind of prize you want to obtain in life. Some people want to obtain the prize of gold but they do not know how to get it. One vital factor is the type of seeds that you plant in your life. For example, if you want to be loved, then sow seeds of love and not hatred. Sow seeds of life and not death so that you can live longer. You cannot be a person who thinks about death and you expect to live longer. It’s impossible! It is important for you to only anticipate life in everything you engage in if you want to live longer.

The quality of your life is also dependent on how you see things. When faced with challenges, most people choose to focus on these challenges instead of the solution. It is important to always keep in mind that you will not go through that challenge forever because it will eventually pass away. For example; if you knock your foot on a stone while running, you will most likely feel the pain but this does not mean that you should stop running. Rather, you should instead continue running so that you obtain the prize ahead.

Never allow yourself to be discouraged to an extent of forgetting the prize that is ahead of you. This is because when you set your eyes on the prize, you will not be put down by any challenges that you face along any journey you choose to take. With this, I am sure that you will never give up on anything that you want to achieve.
